DATE NIGHT

Saturday = Cheat day hoooray! Our cheat day pick of the week was The Boiling Crab. My boyfriend claims that the one in Koreatown is better than the one in Vegas so I wanted to see for myself. This location is jam packed! We waited a good hour and a half before we got seated. Yummy juicy shrimp, cajun fries, and a cold beer, let's just say I wasn't disappointed. After our fulfilling dinner we decided to explore L.A. in search of this amazing view we saw in the beginning of the movie "I Love You Man." Thank god for google. We didn't find the exact spot but I say we were pretty damn close. Of course we weren't going to pass up the opportunity to take some pictures so we parked my car and walked to the middle of the streets. The view of the L.A. city lights is gorgeous. All the more reason to love this city. We ended the night with froyo and a movie. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

HERMOSA BEACH PEIR

One of the many perks of living in SoCal is that we are literally 30 minutes away from the beach. Lucky us right! Since we went to Manhattan the last time I chose to go to Hermosa. So much fun in the sun. I felt like a little kid again digging through the sand and playing in the water in my one piece. Kevin even got to fish, which I'm usually opposed to but it was such a nice day I couldn't refuse.

STRONG COFFEE & COZY DECOR

Since my boyfriend had a dentist appointment I had extra time to kill. I found the cutest coffee shop in Old Torrance thanks to yelp. Yelp's been my best go-to app since I moved to California. Old Torrance Coffee & Tea looks ordinary on the outside, but once you step in it'll make you feel right at home. I loved the decor so much I had to take some photos. Besides the whimsical atmosphere the barista gave excellent customer service. I watched her greet about three regulars by their names and she had their drinks memorized. I ended up getting a Mocha frapp which was good and strong.  I'll definitely come back to try out more drinks and food on the menu. Hopefully I come back when the jazz band is playing outside. This place is a good spot to kick back and relax. Two thumbs up!

OC FAIR 2013

Here's an overview of my first time at the OC Fair. This place is massive compared to the fairs I've been to in Hawaii. It was a fun night filled with junk food galore, games, rides, entertainment, animals, and a ton of people. I was overwhelmed and my feet felt like death from all that walking. My boyfriend and I had to end the night with some delicious blueberry donuts from M & M. The two hour wait is ridiculous but well worth it because these donuts are amazeballs! I can't wait for the L.A. County Fair. I've read a lot of reviews comparing the two, but I want to see for myself which is the fairest of them all.

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUND$

A fresh start isn't always easy. When you move you have to think about all the factors that come into play. As of right now I'm in the market for a new job. I feel like such an alien to the "job hunting" process. I've had my comfy front desk position in Hawaii since 2011, and today was the first time in years that I had an interview. I hate interviews. I hate having to sell yourself to a stranger. It's just awkward, or maybe I'm just awkward. Overall I think it went well and I'm hoping for the best. Lord knows I need the the funds. I need to support my shopping addiction, pay my bills, and furnish my empty living room. I'll know if I landed the job by next week, but until then I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

THE LITTLE THINGS

Today I woke up to a nice surprise waiting for my in the kitchen. A simple yummy breakfast already made for me by my boothang. He had work early this morning, but the fact that he made the time to do something so thoughtful means the world to me. The little things are the most important in life. Last month marked our 4 year anniversary together, and today we are adding another month to that. Homies, lovers, and friends...it doesn't get much better than that.

ALOHA CALIFORNIA

Everything feels surreal in California. I can't believe it's been a month since I packed up and moved away from home. I decided to reactivate this blog just so i'd have something to look back on. I just hope I'll be consistent this time. Let's see what this city has in store for me. The good, bad, and the ugly...I'm ready to experience all L.A. has to offer. Here's to a new chapter in my life! Wish me luck.
xoxo, Krystal
