FALLING INTO WINTER

I'm having the hardest time trying to transition my wardrobe into winter. The weather in Southern California can't seem to stay consistent. Sometimes it'll be cold and gloomy and the next day it'll be sunny and warm. Obviously I'm nowhere near prepared for colder temperatures.

TOM-GIRL

Androgyny is the combination of masculine and feminine characteristics. I'm embracing the "stealing from your boyfriends closet" look...which is exactly what I've been doing. Mens clothing is a hundred times more comfortable that's for sure. All I can say is that I'm thankful for boyfriend jeans and the return of 90's fashion.

#WTFLVCA

What's WTFLVCA? It stands for White Tee Family Las Vegas, California. Duhh! "White Tee Family" is a name my friends from high school came up with to define our squad. We never had a crew name before, but for some strange reason we ended up with that. I don't know why and I don't know how, but let's not question it. This summer was one of the best I've had since 2009 (high school graduation year). I haven't seen my Hawaii friends since January so you can only imagine how excited I was to see everyone again. Although they left three months ago, I can't stop reminiscing about all the fun we had.

KOREAN BELL OF FRIENDSHIP

My favorite thing is to go where I've never been. Material things are great to have, but it doesn't compare to new experiences and adventures. If you're ever in San Pedro you have to stop by and check out the Korean Bell of Friendship. It's almost as if you stepped into another country. It's a little bit of art and history with a beautiful backdrop of the Pacific ocean.

LA LA LAND

Day or night, the Los Angeles skyline is breathtaking.

"People don't live in Los Angeles because we are tied to the same old, same old. We live in Los Angeles because of the intoxicating energy of new beginnings that permeate our city" -Marianne Williamson

I love Los Angeles. I love Hollywood. They're beautiful. Everybody's plastic, but I love plastic. I want to be plastic.” -Andy Warhol

GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY

F21 top/skirt/sunglasses/bag, Old Navy jacket, H&M sandals, Juicy Couture watch

Here are a few photos of my well spent Easter Sunday at the Griffith Observatory. In comparison to the Hollywood sign view, I'd say hands down Griffith wins. Would I come here again? Yes. Overall it's a great place to learn a little something about astronomy, take pictures, and hang out. Next time I visit, I'll definitely hike it.

ENTRANCE PROJECT: PART II

Casual Wear

 Girls Night Out
 Date Night
Career Wear
 Evening Wear
You don't understand how glad I am to be done with FIDM's admissions process. I just wanted to share a small part of my entrance project because it took me a while to finish it. These five looks isn't something I slapped together within 30 minutes. Everything from the brand, prices, colors, and the materials are well thought out. It's a great reflection of my personal style. All the outfits I put together is something I'd definitely wear myself. To differentiate my project from other applicants, I shot polaroids of myself in almost identical clothes/shoes/accessories. Enjoy! (:

FIDM DEBUT 2014

On Thursday I was given the opportunity to attend my first FIDM Debut Runway Show. All of the designs on the runway was nothing short of amazing. I enjoyed watching each collection come out because everyone had different elements to their designs. I love that about fashion. I love how there's no written rules to it, and how fashion is constantly changing every day. Honestly, I couldn't take my eyes off of that catwalk. It was a great first experience and introduction to what I'm walking into. With that being said I'm happy to announce that I've been accepted into FIDM. I'm excited, yet extremely nervous to start school next month. It's always been my dream to go to FIDM, and it's the main reason why I moved to California. Nonetheless, I'm proud to be attending a school filled with such passionate students. Wish me luck!
